Detailed description is We put on a Christmas light display that is synchronized to music.
There are currently over 40,000 lights synchronized to 10 songs.
I started a light display back in 2004 that has grown every year.
It started as a friendly competition with a neighbor and grew from there.
I started the computer animation in 2007 and really started to grow.
I went to a "Christmas Expo" in Gatlinburg and saw some of the other "big" set ups and how they were collecting money for charities.
I did not feel my display was big enough until 2010 after we started to have many repeat "customers" from the previous year.
The first year we took donations (2011) we took in $600.00 (with just a donation box) which was split between 2 charities.
We moved to our current house in 2012 and were moving on Christmas day and did not have a set up at either house (for obvious reasons).
I lost my dad to cancer Oct.
31, 2013 and got back to NC not really in the mood to do Christmas lights but at the last minute decided to do it as a tribute to my dad but did not even put a box out last year.
The Fayetteville Observer came out and took some pictures for the paper and the traffic started! This year I decided that after losing my dad, 4 uncles, an aunt, and a very close friend to cancer, I would use the American Cancer Society as the charity of choice.

We are located in Gray's Creek in the Roslin Farm West subdivision in Hope Mills, NC.
913 Pecan Grove Loop.
On weekdays we run from 6:30 - 9:00 pm so as to not disturb our neighbors on school nights, and 6:00 - 10:30 Friday and Saturday.
The week of Christmas I usually run until 10:00 weekdays and 11:00 weekends, Christmas Eve and Day (sometimes even later if there are still cars out there) 2011 I had to keep going and extending the computer program because we had cars until almost 1:00 am!! The show DOES NOT RUN IN RAIN OR IF VERY WET FROM THE DAY!!! There are so many electrical cords on the ground and the dampness trips my GFI outlets.
We like our neighbors and don't want them to get upset by our display so please be courteous and do not park on their lawns, keep the volume of your stereos reasonable, turn off your headlights while watching, and do not leave trash on the street or yards.
We want to be able to continue our display for everyone's enjoyment!
