Detailed description is Formula: Take a repurposed Metro Transit Bus, add 30 computers and software which is fun, fast and easy to use and the kids' reading levels explode!! The Rock 'n' Read Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with an unpaid Board of Directors who are determined to get kids reading at grade level.
The Rock 'n' Read Bus is its first initiative.
The bus has 32 computers and software that uses singing to boost reading.
Research studies by the University of South Florida show an average of 1 year of reading achievement in 13.5 hours of singing.
The bus serviced about 200 students at a Minneapolis Public Schools summer school and the YMCA in Summer 2014.
