Rob is a graduate of Sydney College of the Arts (1982).
As part of his final year at SCA, Rob acted as Assistant Curator of Photography with Gael Newton at The Art Gallery of NSW.
Later that year he was offered the position of Assistant Gallery Co-ordinator at the Australian Centre for Photography.
In his position there, Rob curated many exhibitions and was part of the founding editorial committee for the Centres publication “Photofile” which is now in its 24th year of publication..
