Detailed description is The deparment was set up to promote education and research in the area of New and Renewable Energy with the collaboration of Industries and the Ministry.
Renewable Energy Department is a part of Amity School of Applied Sciences, founded in 2013.
We are offering B.Tech and M.Tech (Regular and Weekend) courses in Solar and Alternative Energy.

The faculty present in the department comprises of leading academicians, senior scientists and researchers.
The department has a functional Solar PV Laboratory consisting of various kits and experiments related to solar energy.
Also, a 1 KW Solar PV system, a Thermal Collector system and a smaller PV system are under the process of installation.

The students along with the faculty are working on various projects and instruments in the lab namely, Solar dryer, water desalination using solar thermal and solar resource assessment..

The institute also has various Industrial tie-ups where hands-on training is provided for solar PV systems.
