Detailed description is Our mission is to give horses a second chance by placing them in a forever home that is healthy, caring, and a Safe Haven..
We board to rescue.
In saying that, we board new owner’s rescues until they can get them to their permanent homes.
Through doing this, it helps pay for our own rescues that we are trying to find permanent homes for.
Believe me when I say that purchasing a horse is the cheapest part of owning a horse.

Boarding: We pick up owner’s newly purchased rescues from the kill lots and bring them here to our Red Dirt Horse Haven.
More than not, the horse is very scared, sick, maybe hurt, emaciated, and sometimes traumatized by what it has gone through.
We feed and water them, take photos for owners, and are in continual communication with owners to keep them up on the health and well-being of their horse.
We work with the owner and local veterinarians to care for their horses until they can be transported home.
We also help owners get the required medical documents for their horses to be able to be transported..
Rescue: We rescue horses from many different situations.
Sometimes while we’re picking up someone else’s rescue from the kill lot, a horse will catch our attention.
Sometimes it’s from someone who doesn’t want to see their horse go to slaughter and they are asking us to help them find a home.
Sometimes it’s from boarders who for various reasons have relinquished their animals to us.
Whatever the reason, we try and help these horses to find homes.
Some we’ve only had 6 months.
Some have taken 2 years to rehabilitate.
Our rescues have been quarantined at least 30 days, gelded if needed, vaccinated, wormed, hooves recently trimmed, and are ready for their new safe haven.
