As many of you know, November 19, 2016 our family lost a precious soul.
My mother in law, Shirley Kilgore, passed away suddenly.
As a child, my Nanny would tell me the story of the cardinal.
The week of my MIL's passing I was standing in my kitchen when I heared such a loud noise coming from outside.
It was so loud it was as if it were screaming.
I looked out the window and there sat a red bird..
perched and chirping.
It was then that I finally felt comfort and a smile appear.
Later, my husband and I took our children on a trip to the zoo.
As we were walking between exhibits we were able to share with them the same story that I was told as a child.
As soon as we were finsihed right in front of us, out of no where, a red bird flew down and stopped.
I would be lying if I said there wasnt any tears.
The cardinal is said to symbolize hope, joy, health, rejuvenation and celebration..and that is exactly what she brought to our lives.
When I made the decision to start Red Bird I knew I wanted to have her in the midst.
