The school opened its doors in August 2004 due to overcrowding at Peoria High School and raid population growth in the surrounding area.
The school is the district's fourth-largest, with approximately 1,850 students.Kellis High School is located near the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, and Jobing.com Arena, home of the Phoenix Coyotes.AthleticsIn 2007 the marching band earned a rating of superior under the direction of Mr.
