My Mother taught classical Hula and coordinated many musical productions for the Navy Wives Club.

I began formal vocal training at this same time.
My music teacher taught me to sing nicely in High School.
I enjoyed constant success at all of my local and state music contests, and was in every Kansas State Choir from seventh grade 'til I graduated.
At the age of sixteen, I was the youngest singer ever in "America's Youth in Concert" choir & orchestra European Tour..

I moved on to college at Wichita State University, where I studied the Henderson Technique.

I learned to better hone the vocal technique I was being taught.
Opera Theater, countless choirs and special music groups gave me thousands of hours of practice and performance during my college career..
Then I began to study Vocal Pedagogy.

I have a Bachelor of Art in Music.
I didn't get to graduate from WSU, but I am very thankful to the US Navy for allowing me to finish some needed basic classes so that I may receive my B.A.

Finally, after the US Navy, I landed back in my hometown of San Diego, where in the summer of 1985 I began to perform in the Chorus at the .
San Diego Opera.
At the same time, I began voice studies with Larra Browning Henderson; the Inventor of the very technique I had been learning all my life!.

After two years of study, Mrs.
Henderson gave me her blessing to go and open my own Vocal Studio.
From 1986 to 1993 I kept an office in downtown San Diego where I taught Voice.
During that time I had 74 students, always keeping a balance of 25 active students.
