The efforts of Randy’s Closet is to point the way to Christ by reaching out in love and service.
Entirely donation based, the thrift store offers a variety of clothing, baby items, home goods & knick-knacks, kitchenware, books, toys, and some furniture to shoppers looking for a great deal..

HOW IT ALL BEGAN: It all started with a compelling question: Randy Sturgeon asked his church, “We give food to the needy and less fortunate, so why can’t we provide clothing to them too?” Before seeing this request materialize, Randy passed away, but church members set out to make his dream a reality.
In 2008 tables of donated clothing were set-up in the annex of the Williamsport Methodist Church and “Randy’s Closet” was launched.
As the needs of the community increased, the ministry found it necessary to create a more permanent and handicap accessible location.
In 2010 Randy’s Closet moved in the building at 28 N.
Monroe Street.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?: Right back to our local community! Obviously, we start by maintaining the building and utilities.
We have made financial donations to the Williamsport Parks Program, Helping Hands of Warren County, as well as individuals.
At Christmas we purchase new toys for some families-in-need .

ADDITIONAL GIVING: Randy’s Closet opens their store to those who have just suffered a major loss, such as a house fire, to choose necessities at no cost.
Additionally there’s the highly anticipated “Bag Day” and our annual Christmas Open House where shoppers can fill-a-bag of clothing for $1.
Shoppers get clothing for pennies on the dollar and we make room for new stock to fill the racks.

Various opportunities include: stocking shelves, receiving donations, sorting and pricing inventory, and general customer service.
