Cuyahoga County Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Naloxone) aims to educate opioid users and their loved ones or friends on the risk factors for an opioid overdose, recognizing an overdose and how to respond to an overdose with naloxone.

We are a walk-in clinic open every:.

-Monday - Friday 9a-4p at Cleveland EMS Heaquarters (1701 Lakeside Ave, Cle) .

-Tuesday from 12p-4p at Circle Health Services - FKA: The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland (12201 Euclid Ave, Cle).

-Thursday from 4p-8p at the Cleveland Department of Public Health's McCafferty Health Center (4242 Lorain Ave, Cle) TEMPORARILY CLOSED.

-Friday from 9a-12p at the Cuyahoga County Board of Health (5550 Venture Drive, Parma) .

-Friday from 1p-5p at Circle Health Services - FKA The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland (12201 Euclid Ave, Cle) .

Naloxone kits are prescribed to individuals who are at risk of an opioid overdose and to individuals who may know someone who is at risk of an opioid overdose.
We are supported by The MetroHealth System, The Ohio Department of Health, and the Cuyahoga County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board..

What comes in a Project DAWN naloxone kit?.

- 2-3 doses of naloxone hydrochloride (either intranasal or intramuscular).
- 1 face mask.
- 1 informational flip book.
- 1 prescription card.

-We also provide our kits to at special events, to inmates released from the Cuyahoga County Jail and alongside Circle Health Service's (FKA The Free Clinic) mobile syringe exchange program..

Can I get naloxone at my local pharmacy?.

Yes! Discount Drug Mart, Walgreens and MetroHealth pharmacies provide take-home naloxone at all of their Ohio stores.
No appointment is necessary.
Simply walk in to any Discount Drug Mart, Walgreens, or MetroHealth pharmacy, bring your insurance card and request naloxone.
The cost of naloxone provided within the pharmacy setting may be covered by your insurance or paid for out of pocket.
You do not need to visit a physician to receive a written prescription for naloxone prior to visiting these participating pharmacies when requesting naloxone..
