Poolside Productions DJ Service is really a husband and wife hobby, but we strive to provide the utmost in professional service.

It all started when Mark LaRocque was approached by a classmate in high school around 1982.
"I hear you have a loud stereo" was the phrase that started it.
The two combined loud home stereos and made some lighting to form the Force 4 DJ Service.
Mark was already a record collector, so this was a good fit.
With a knack for electronics, love of music and some hard work, Force 4 grew and was soon renamed Mega Force.
Driven by Mark's various live bands and lots of high school dances, by the end of the 80's Mega Force was one of the largest travelling DJ systems around.
Mark built 16 stackable speaker cabinets and became a dealer for American DJ lighting only to get a massive light show at cost.
It was impressive, but required a crew to set up.
the early 90's saw a transition to a smaller more efficient show, more live sound reinforcement work, and Mark began to focus more on performing in live bands.
After graduating with an associate's degree in Electronics in the early 90's, Mark ended the 90's working at Lake Charles Music designing, repairing and selling sound systems, Audio Engineer at Player's and Harra's Casino, as well as playing drums for one band, and guitar in another.
The DJ business was dormant by this time.
The new millennium saw a transition to construction work, but Mark was soon called out of retirement by his graduating class to DJ his 25th year class reunion.
By this time, Cher (Clark) LaRocque had joined in the picture and had always wanted to be a DJ.
So the hobby began, in spare time with more hard work the DJ Service started to grow.
By this time, the name Mega Force had been taken by someone else, so the nickname for Mark's home recording studio was used...

Recently a used cargo trailer was purchased to provide storage for all the equipment that was being acquired.
More band related gear and lighter weight LED lighting, and even some upgrades to the recording studio.
