Pit Stop Pizza opened in May 2015 in Virgilina, VA, having transformed and remodeled an existing bank building which had previously operated for nearly 2 decades.
Adjacent to the bank building was a 104 year old warehouse which was demolished to make room for the glass enclosure which was added on to the restaurant in 2014.
The addition increased total available seating to just under 100..

The restaurant was founded by 2 brothers, Don and Jim Ellixson whose original concept and purpose was to carry on the legacy and heritage of their father who was born and raised in Virgilina, VA and whose childhood house, built in the 1800's, still stands today..
