Detailed description is We offer professional tennis instruction and off-court cross training for all tennis players.
Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes are offered.
Tennis classes are held year-round at Hampshire Athletic Club.
The spring '16 session has just begun and we are currently taking registrations.
Class enrollment is limited and will be determined on a first-come first -served basis.
Classes meet weekly for fourteen consecutive weeks..

Beginners: Saturday 3-4 p.m.

Advanced Beginners: Saturday 4-5 p.m.
.
Intermediates: Sunday 3:00-5:00 p.m..
Advanced: Sunday 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Power Tennis Training: Sunday 12-1 p.m..

Power Tennis Training, an off-court, tennis-specific cross-training program, begins on Sunday, September 19th.
The class meets weekly from 11:45-1:00 p.m.
and aims to improve athleticism via strength training, plyometrics, court movement and flexibility drills..

Outdoor classes at Amherst College begin the second weekend in June and run through the second weekend in September.
We meet at the upper bank of hard courts at Amherst College.
The Beginner and Advanced Beginner groups run from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
The Intermediate and Advanced classes run from 12:00 p.m.
to 2:00 p.m..
We're also offering an optional singles league that is open to any players who regularly attend the Intermediate and Advanced classes..

Pioneer Valley Tennis is run by Matt Leitl.
Matt is a PTR Level 1 Teaching Professional entering his 8th year as Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at Amherst College ('11 NCAA DIII Champions and '09 and '10 NCAA DIII runners-up).
Matt is also entering his 10th year as Assistant Director of Nike Tennis Camps at Amherst College.
