Detailed description is Started in 2010 with Pibby and Brean (Chocolate Lab), tapping trees at Trenholm Lake.
The very first year, we boiled sap in a pot over an open campfire.
Boiled all day and then finished boiling on the kitchen stove.
I ended up with only a 1/2 litre, but I was hooked..
The following year we built a concrete block arch outside with a large pan on top.
This was much better then our first year but the elements still played a huge factor in the boiling process..
In the third year, we built a proper sugar shack and moved inside.
