Detailed description is The Alumni Association for the Gamma Iota Chapter (Ole Miss) of the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha – Gamma Iota has made great strides in becoming a powerhouse on the Ole Miss Campus.
The chapter has a whole has dedicated themselves to excellence, and it shows through continued support of local and national philanthropies, recent record-setting pledge classes, and new additions to the chapter house..

Gamma Iota is looking forward to “The 7th Annual Pike Powderpuff” football tournament, in which all 11 sororities compete in a flag football tournament benefiting charity.
From T-shirt sales and gracious donations from local Oxford businesses and alumni, Pi Kappa Alpha – Gamma Iota has been able to contribute over $100,000 to charity since the event’s inception in 2011.
This past year’s event benefited The Damascus Endowment, a charity specializing in sending low-income special needs children to summer camp across Mississippi.
We were able to completely fund summer camps for 34 grateful children.

The chapter has seen enormous growth through recruitment in recent times.
In 2013, Gamma Iota broke Pi Kappa Alpha history by pledging the largest pledge class in National Fraternity history, and we were not done there.
Along with the 2013 class, the subsequent classes have all contributed to the well-being and propulsion of Pike as a top chapter on the Ole Miss campus.
These men represent 40+ states and come from as far as Hawaii.
Through an exhaustive commitment to recruitment, Gamma Iota has grown over 35% in the past 4 years making it one of the largest IFC chapters.

The chapter house has under seen major improvements in the last 5 years as well.
The summer of 2011 saw many changes to the Pike house.
The red brick exterior was painted a crisp white and a golden “ΠΚΑ” was erected above the front door at 97 Poole Drive.
In the summer of 2012, the chapter replaced the downstairs tile and renovated the chapter room.
The summer of 2013 saw all the dated carpet on the second and third floor replaced with hardwood flooring and new paint throughout.
In the summer of 2014, Pike replaced the old wooden deck with a concrete courtyard and added much needed landscaping to the backyard.
These are just some of the major strides Gamma Iota has made to make the Pike house the beautiful landmark it once was and will continue to be.
