Detailed description is The Phillip Ice Skating Centre is an ice sports and public skate centre, open in 1980 and located at the Phillip precinct of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
It is the current home of the CBR Brave AIHL ice hockey club and previous home of the Canberra Knights AIHL ice hockey club.Phillip Ice Skating Centre's rink is the only ice rink in Canberra and will continue to be the only rink in Canberra for the foreseeable future after ACT Sports minister Shane Rattenbury on 16 August 2014 confirmed the ACT Government is not looking to build a new larger ice rink co-located with a new swimming pool next to Stromlo Forest Park to service the new suburbs of Molonglo in Canberra's west despite constant lobbying by the CBR Brave.
