Each pet is an individual and some require different amounts of time or attention for various reasons please be patient with groom time duration.

*If you are not a client of Ayr Animal Hospital please bring current vaccines papers from your clinic or provide current clinic information so we may obtain vaccine status.

Bath with appropriate professional shampoo / conditioner and facial scrub.

Muzzles may be needed in certain situations to ensure everyone’s safety.

Lindsay and staff are trained to deal with difficult animals, but precautions do need to be taken by staff and owner..

*Dogs that are difficult/ behavioral issues and require extra time or assistance will be assessed by Lindsay and quotes start at $55 despite breed or previous pricing to January 1 2017.
This is for dogs that require extra time, assistance and care to ensure that their grooming experience is as positive and safe as possible.
Pricing will vary depending on the individual situation..

If a pet is difficult during a groom you will be informed before any further cost is added to your bill.
We will discuss what the best options for you and your pet are at this time..

If your pet does injure Lindsay or another staff member during the grooming process you will be informed and a waiver paper will be signed by both parties at that time, along with a dangerous handling fee of $15-$25 added to your bill..
Your pets groom will be stopped for that time and future arrangement’s will be discussed.

If sedation is needed and you are not a client of Ayr Animal Hospital please inform us of your current Veterinary clinic so we can obtain record information.

If your pet comes in with prior sedation please also inform staff of the time it was given, so we can monitor your pet properly.

( Mats are painful and severity of matting will be assessed with the safety of the pet in mind.
A full shave down may be recommended at this time to prevent pain and injury to the pet.
Please keep in mind that mats tight to the skin even with the upmost safety precautions and care taken may lead to but not limited to - razor irritation, bruising, unforeseen skin issues, small cuts due to skin involvement, etc.) If dematting is an option an extra charge will be applied in $5 increments for every 15 minutes.
• Clipping down a severely matted/ pelted coat may inquire extra cost due to but not exclusive to:.
Extra time and care required to prevent injury and stress.

Please be advised accidents can happen while working with animals (including but not excluded to; nicked nail, razor irritation, allergic reaction to product, scarps or nicks, etc.) If your pet has any issues it will be brought to your attention upon discharge.
If you notice anything with your pet once home please inform Lindsay and or Dr.
Dust / staff within 24 hours of groom.
After 24 hours too many variables are at play to affirmatively say it was caused by grooming.

If live fleas are found during a groom you will be notified and a capstar tablet (Kills live fleas within 15 min) will be given at an extra charge to you.
