Detailed description is The Peoria Tribe of Indians Aquatic facility specializes in the production of Northern Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass and freshwater mussel species.
The Peoria Tribe is continuing to develop a Tribal Aquatic complex.
This facility is currently in operation to propagate freshwater mussels and production of Largemouth and Smallmouth bass.
One building, a 2,800 square foot facility, will be used in propagation of freshwater mussels and Largemouth bass and Smallmouth bass production to be used as host fish for the mussel program.
The second building, a 1,200 square foot facility, will be used to assist in the grow out of freshwater mussels such as the Neosho Mucket.
The facility also has a 1.5 acre reservoir pond and seven production ponds for bass production.
There are also three smaller shallower ponds that will be used to grow out minnows and other freshwater vertebrates such as crayfish for a food source for the bass production ponds.
