It was opened in 1963 and the current principal is Travis Joshua.
The school has approximately 3,000 students in grades 9-12, and employs 183 teachers.
This makes Pebblebrook High School the biggest school in the Cobb County School District according to student body.
The school's traditional rival is South Cobb High School.Magnet programPebblebrook High School is home to the Cobb County Center for Excellence in Performing Arts, the county's only performing arts magnet program.
Students wishing to attend the program must audition in the spring of their 8th grade year.
Students audition for their major, the art that will be the focus of their studies at Pebblebrook.
Once accepted, students may also choose a minor, to be studied in addition.
