Detailed description is Patisserie 42 is a home bakery specializing in cakes and cupcakes, however, I also make a large variety of treats.

I have been making specialty cakes since 2010.
I love the creativity of cake decorating and being able to make something beautiful that is also edible.
I was self-taught for years until I decided to attend culinary school through The Culinary Institute of Michigan, where I graduated in 2016 with an Associate degree in Baking and Pastry.
I specialize in cakes (single layer, stacked, or carved), including buttercream, fondant work, gumpaste flowers and figurines, and string-work.
I also do a large variety of candies, such as, bonbons, truffles, pralines, caramels, and much more.

The name Patisserie 42 was inspired by the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books.
According to the books the number 42 is the answer to the ultimate question - the meaning of the universe......so of course 42 = the answer to the meaning of life = cake! .
