I'm a self-taught artist working in oil paints and pen & inks.
I focus on realistic subjects expressed in vivid color and breathtaking light.
Splitting my time between Missouri and Florida, most of my subjects are landscapes, portraits and still lifes, but every so often I am drawn to fanart.

I studied to be an educator and spent nine years as a teacher, eventually focusing on gifted education.
To challenge myself further, I spent six years writing and editing featured articles on Wikipedia on an assortment of topics that tended to focus on the geography and history of Florida, civil rights, and some films and television shows that I found appealing.

Similarly, my mind gets restless and seeks out new ways to learn.
I am taking a hiatus on a massive video project that explores the music of the 20th century, something I chose to do to teach myself about the nature of how artists influence each other.
Popular music made more sense to me than painting of the 20th century.
