The college is registered under Societies’ Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.
Former deputy Prime Minister Yeshwantrao Chavan, laid the foundation of the college.Established in 1991, the college is spread over a total area of 300000sqft.
It is located in the centre of Mumbai, on the Eastern Express Highway at Sion.
It is approved by the Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai, and All India Council for Technical Education to conduct degree courses in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Marine Engineering and diploma courses.According to Times of India, on June 2013, the All India Council for Technical Education derecognized the college and withdrew the approval give to college as the college did not have its own land.In 2016, AICTE shifted the First year and Direct Second Year Students to other AICTE approved institutes.
