Owensboro is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Daviess County, Kentucky, United States.
It is the fourth-largest city in the state by population.
Owensboro is located on U.S.
Route 60 about southwest of Louisville, and is the principal city of the Owensboro metropolitan area.
The 2015 population was 59,042.
