CMRS is an interdisciplinary humanities center in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University dedicated to the study of European history and culture from the Roman Empire through the Early Modern period, along with analogous developments in the Far East and Africa.
The Center's activities promote teaching and research in all aspects of medieval and Renaissance culture, including art, music, literature, religion, history, philosophy, and government.
Each year, the Center hosts a lecture series on an annual theme, a film series, several faculty colloquia, medieval Latin and Occitan reading groups, and more.
CMRS also offers courses and degree program options for OSU graduate and undergraduate students.
