Oostende voor Anker is het “rendez-vous” voor alle schippers en bemanningen met een boot van meer dan 40 jaar oud of een replica naar een origineel plan.
Het festival trekt ruim 180 schepen aan, van A klasse barken en brikken, tot de kleinste overnaadse jol.
Het hele stadscentrum rond de twee oudste dokken van de Stad aan Zee liggen vol.
Maar de onvervalste sfeer woedt ook op alle pleinen, kaaien en straten.
Shanties, verrassingsacts, tentoonstellingen, demonstraties en themadorpjes met watererfgoedspelers, kunstenaars van de zee, ambachten en een nautische markt maken het geheel compleet.
