"To create an environment outdoors that drives imagination, stimulates sensory development, and fosters independence" What is this all about? My hope is to bring children and parents together and get back to the basics.
It is pretty easy in today's world of technology to get sucked in, but let's get sucked back in to the old school ways of play..
To start the group will meet on Thursday's at 10:30 am.
We will be meeting at Bradley Palmer in the main parking lot.
Every class will be held outside, regardless of weather, unless it is serious.
( I will explain this thought process in a separate post).
The group is open for children 18 months- 5 years old.
All activities will require some help from mom, dad, or caregiver, but the point is to have the kids be independent in the activity.
Little ones are welcome to attend, but will be unable to participate in the activity..
The class will be semi-structured, but don't be surprised if it goes off course, that happens with kids! We will roll with the punches..
Class will start with circle time and a song.
We will then transition to an opening activity.
This will be somewhere between 10-15 minutes long and will open the door for the main activity.
The main activity will take anywhere from 30-40 minutes.
We will end with circle time and a snack..
Snack will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if there are allergies, dietary restrictions, etc..
I will post the activity each week prior, but remember, kids can make their own schedule, so things might change..
All activity supplies will be provided by me, cost is included in the fee..
Be prepared for dirty, tired kids smile emoticon.
Cost: 4 week session $32.
6 week session $48.
8 week session $60.
Drop in session $8 per child.
Siblings half off.

What is my background and what makes me qualified? Well I have no formal training except being the mom to an amazing 18 month little boy and 5 year old stepson.
I am a nature geek and love being outside.
I have found myself really enjoying the ideas and practices of Maria Montessori, who created the Montessori program.
I believe the first three years of a child's life are the most important and we have the opportunity to teach them how to thrive in a safe environment..
