Detailed description is Our aim is to foster and grow the 'old school' arts and crafts in knife-making, leather-work and hand engraving through specialised classes on a regular basis.
Currently one or two day sessions are envisioned for forging/knife-making and also leather-crafting with possibilities of open days or one on one sessions for those who have completed initial safety sessions.
Hand engraving classes will likely be run over an intensive 5 day block every few months or on demand as time permits.
These 5 days will cover basic theory, design and the use of the traditional hammer and chisel.
Class numbers for all disciplines will likely be restricted to 6 or less participants in the interests of safety and ease of accessibility to the leader.
Where-ever available/possible, guest speakers will also join us to share their own knowledge and specialised expertise in their field..
