Detailed description is Everyone loves Vermont Maple Syrup but at times it's not so easy to get your hands on! Enjoy our quality maple syrup year round straight from Vermont! The Old Kate Green Place was built around 1766 By William Hood.
It was the occupied by the Green Family from the early 1800’s until the late 1940’s.
The Greens ran a Maple Syrup and chicken farm.
Eurastus Green died in the house in the early 1900s but her never left.
That story is to be told a bit later.
Margaret aka Peggy aka Kate Green was the Last Green to live here.
The Emerson Family lived here until the late 1960’s.
It was then abandoned.
In the late 60s a group of young folks brightly adroned helped themselves and moved right in.
A few years later they left.
The doors were all gone, the windows were all broken and the house was left to the animals who found it a lovely home..

In 1980 Jeff and Mary Martin bought the house and 11 acres for $15,000.
They restored the house , plumbing and electric.
They lived here until 1985..

In 1985 Mother and I moved in and have been here since.
Never being farmers or sugar makers we bought the place on its charm.
We are now Maple Sugar makers and chicken farmers along with beef and pork.
A few years ago we had to cut back a bit but are now building things back up.
There are many stories from many folks who have experienced the unexplained occurrences that we believe are the spirits of Eurastus, who we call Rastus as did the locals back then, and an unidentified woman and her 2 children.
