Detailed description is The 1 is 2 Many campaign at Oklahoma State University simply means that we think one victim of sexual violence is too many on our campus.
The 1 is 2 Many campaign works to educate campus on a variety of levels including both direct education and awareness programming.
For direct education, all students must complete an online training designed to increase knowledge of sexual violence, how to help a friend who experiences it, and how to become an active bystander in order to help prevent it.
A hold is placed on each incoming student's account preventing them from enrolling in subsequent semesters until the training is complete.
We also offer in-person training upon request (email student.conduct@okstate.edu or call 405-744-5470).
We will train any group of students, i.e.
student groups, a group of friends, classes, fraternity/sorority, etc.
We tailor the training based upon the students' interests and needs.
We know that in-person is more effective and thus would LOVE to train any and all students! For awareness programming, we have many events throughout the year designed to engage and educate students in various ways; it might be a display on library lawn, a movie screening, a video, a poster campaign or just about anything else.
If you have an idea for an event or poster/display, we'd love to hear it! That is why we hold monthly open discussion meetings on the first Wednesday at 2pm.
