I grew up on a family farm about one mile southeast of Elgin, IA.
My great-grandpa Harry Cline, Sr.
started out with 10 angus cattle back in the 1940's through the generations have grown into what is today called Har-Mar Farms.
It has always been a closed herd with strategic buying of only the best bulls.
In 2009, my wife, Hope, and I moved into our home 4 miles east of Elgin and started our own herd.
The cattle are black angus and corn fed.
I understand grass fed is the fad right now but corn fed beef will provide the taste and quality that I want on my plate.
We feel that the superior genetics, low stress environment and diet, contributes to the rich marbling and delicate flavor that is a staple of Har-Mar Farms and Off the Land beef..

In 2007, the last hog walked off the finishing lot at Har-Mar Farms.
I grew up working on the farm and enjoyed the benefits of good meats and Mom's good cooking.
I was used to pork with certain flavor and when I moved away from home, was unable to find this flavor by purchasing the meat in stores.
Hope and I raise our hogs outdoors and we choose our genetics based on meat quality and flavor.
It is important to us that our hogs have not been given added hormones or fed antibiotics.

Our chickens are about as wild as they come and have access to fresh air, water, and sunshine that allow the birds to express natural behaviors like dust bathing in the sun and pecking up insects.
