For me, "that thing" is painting furniture.
Hey, I know its not brain surgery or changing the world but for me, its my happy place..
It all began with an old rocking chair that I spotted on the side of the road on my way home from dropping my boys at school.
This sad looking chair for $10 had seen better days.
But oh, if it I could just sand back that tired old timber and add some new foam and cover it in my favourite colour.
I could already see myself rocking in front of the TV with my coffee and chocolate (or my rum and coke ) My chair! Just for me! Keep off kids and husband!!.
And the transformation was even better than id hoped.
I LOVE my rocking chair.

So, my addiction had started.
There was no holding me back.
I couldn't wait to drop the kids at school (sorry my darlings) so I could scour every inch of my town for old relics to revamp, renew and re-invent.
Soon I had filled our garage with furniture treasures, no room for my car anymore and my husband( affectionately known as Wongi) was getting gradually squeezed out of his man cave.
I had taken over.

To my surprise, other people were enjoying my furniture make overs and I began to sell pieces.
And they were loving the pieces just as much as I love my rocking chair.
What a wonderful feeling to have people appreciate the many hours and love I had devoted to each piece..
So I am in the beginning stages of creating a business and a life that makes me sooo happy..
