Detailed description is Oak Ridge MX Facility Oak Ridge is a new mx park being constructed in Tama County near Meskwaki Casino that will be hosting a AMA race series in 2014.
This was originally planned to have races in 2013 but we were held up with some permit issues and have been resolved.This facility will be constructed by Schaefer Tracks who have built some of the top tracks around the world.
Schaefer has been involved with Spring Creek National, Thunder Valley National, Des Nations, Hart & Huntington Test Track, Geico Honda, Factory KTM and countless pro riders such as Josh Grant, Brett Metcalfe, Grant Langston, Nitro Circus crew, Davi Millsaps, Zach Osborne, Blake Wharton, and many other professionals here in the US and overseas.
Oak ridge sits on nearly 40 acres of rolling hills west of Tama-Toledo Iowa.
We believe being within 60 minutes of Cedar Raids, Cedar Falls/Waterloo, and Des Moines this will create a unique and diverse racing expirience for the state of Iowa.
Oak ridge is planned to be the best outdoor style facility in the state with construction starting in early spring/summer 2013.
We plan to have a few open practices this fall.
