DRIVER'S EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.

Currently in Massachusetts, driver’s education for a new driver with a learner’s permit consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction, 12 hours of actual behind the wheel driving and 6 hours of back seat observation.
Parents are also required to attend a separate 2 hour session.

MANDATORY PARENT CLASSES.
.
The Registry of Motor Vehicles mandates that parents attend a special 2 hour session.
This "parent's class" will provide insight into what your child is learning in Driver's Ed and explain the current laws.
We will also explain how parent's can reinforce what their children are learning as well as how they can be positive role models behind the wheel themselves.

At the completion of all parent's classes, certificates are issued.
This class certificate is valid for five (5) years.
So if you have another child who will be attending Driver's Ed in that time frame, this class will still count! .
