Unlike much of the music instruction one finds today, my teaching is tailored to each student's individual needs.
I do not teach from a method, or from a series of books.
I teach according to artistic and pædagogical principles that I have acquired from my own teachers Mimi Tung, Santiago Rodriguez, and Edward Auer; my formal education at Maryland, Indiana, and numerous summer festivals; and the artists whose teaching I both received personally, and witnessed in dozens of masterclasses and lessons that shaped my development, in particular Rebecca Penneys, Tamara Sanikidze, Andreas Poulimenos, and János Starker.
