As young child, Katrina was always interested physical activity and business.
She performed in several ballet productions and taught piano lessons to mentally challenged foster children from the age of five.
She began training in the gym at thirteen and started her own business called Sunshine Window Washing at eighteen.
While studying at the University of the Fraser Valley, Katrina was the victim of a severe car accident.
She sustained many injuries including a broken back and concussion.
Katrina was rushed to the Vancouver General Hospital where Dr Marcel Dvorak, surgeon for former BC Premier Mike Harcourt, conducted the first of two surgeries.
Katrina underwent an extensive rehabilitation training program and a second back surgery the following year.
After a remarkable recovery Katrina began training as a natural body builder..

In the Fall of 2000, Katrina completed her Human Kinetics degree (BHK) and her Professional Fitness and Lifestyles Certification (PFLC) at UBC.
She performed Hip Hop dance in many events in the community such as Vancouver Sun Run and the Health & Wellness Show.
Katrina taught Hip Hop for the YMCA, Fitness World, church groups and summer camps.
She also worked as a Kinesiologist for the Canadian Back Institute, Citadel Health Management, Hotel Vancouver and Le Physique..

In the Fall of 2002, Katrina became a Registered Kinesiologist with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) and opened Katch Life Health & Wellness.
Her dream was to help others overcome physical injury and achieve their best health.
