Detailed description is New Milford Fire Protection District is a full service fire department, staffed by 1 Chief, 2 Deputy Chiefs, 4 Captains, 1 Lieutenant and 15 Firefighters.
New Milford Fire Protection District is a progressive all hazard emergency response agency dedicated to service.
All of our members are required to obtain State of Illinois Basic Operations Firefighter Certification through the office of the State Fire Marshal (about 240 hours of training), Members are also required to maintain a minimum of Healthcare Provider CPR with AED Certification and attend an additional 12 hours of departmental training each month.
About half of our members are Certified with the Illinois Department of Public Health as EMT-Basics (200 hour class) or EMT-Paramedics (about 1000 hours of Education).
In addition to our minimum Training and Education Requirements all members of the New Milford Fire Protection District are required to provide 120 hours each month to cover volunteer shifts.
This commitment is what allows us to provide such fantastic service to the communities we serve.
