New Again is the combined inspiration of its two founders, Gail Farrell and Nancy Walsh, each has devoted the past twenty-five years to raising a child with disabilities.
When their children became adults and aged out of the program available through the school, it was difficult to find programs that were appropriate to their individual medical and developmental needs, which also offered creative and meaningful work activities.
Rather than settling for a program that met only some of their needs.and believing that there were other adults with disabilities in their area who could benefit from an alternative, the two women joined forces and designed a program that would be totally unique..

New Again is born out of the desire to create an employment opportunity for adults with disabilities that is artistic, interesting, fulfilling, and encourages a wide variety of life experiences and interactions with the community.

New Again consists of a donation center, a workshop, and a retail setting.
Donated items are received, sorted, and stored in the donation center, providing opportunities for the young adults to interact with members of the community and to reinforce organizational skills..

In the workshop setting the team creates products for sale in the retail store by recycling and upcycling donated goods.
For example wind chimes created from silverware, birdbaths from vases and plates, and fly swatters from paint stirrers and flip-flops.
