Because politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians! We are an organization under the Department of Political Science.
Our purpose is to improve the quality of political consciousness among interested students from the University, through the study of contemporary political events and forces, along with an understanding of different political theories and ideas.
For this purpose, we intend to meet regularly, say every two weeks or so, in the Political Science department, under the guidance of some teachers from our department, to discuss, debate, and theorize upon the major political issues of the day, with an emphasis on a thorough academic understanding of the major forces that shape our world, as well as the major theories, ideas and concepts, which are relevant in the context of those forces.

We invite every student, with all kinds of political views and ideologies, to come forward and be a member of this organization, because it is only by having a plurality of views and opinions in our debates, can we attempt to arrive at a more holistic and comprehensive critical understanding of the 'political' in our world.
