The greenhouse is used to grow transplants and in ground crops.
Half the greenhouse space is dedicated to transplant production and half to inground growing.
Although we are still ironing out the financial and logistical details any Detroit gardener, but esp.
the local community can use the space and compensate for it iether by paying a "rental" or help fundraise for utility and maintenance cost.
The greenhouse can be heated year around, but obviously in the coldest season this would be prohibitively expensive.
Currently we are charging $6 to house and care for one flat of vegetables.
We also have in ground space available.
The greenhouse is open Monday- Thursday from 9-5 for walk ins and volunteer or service hour purposes.
