Detailed description is NÚCLEO DE ESTUDOS E PESQUISAS EM GÊNERO E SEXUALIDADE - NEGES O NEGES é um Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Gênero e Sexualidade, da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, (UFCG/Campus Sumé) dedicado à realização de discussões, pesquisas, ações, cursos e capacitações que contribuam para o conhecimento e promoção dos múltiplos direitos da população acerca das questões da equidade de gênero, da saúde sexual e reprodutiva de homens e mulheres e da diversidade sexual, tendo como lócus principal de investigação o contexto do Nordeste brasileiro.
O núcleo será coordenado pelo professor Valdonilson Barbosa dos Santos, doutor em Antropologia e estudioso nas questões das relações de gênero, homens, masculinidades e violência conjugal.
