As a member of the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association, the NDSL and DCUSA have merged from their foundings as a Challenge only organizations, to offering three levels of play to our membership in 2012..
In the beginning the NDSL was formed for the youth of North Davidson County to gain access to Challenge level regional competition.
Starting with just 2 boys teams, the NDSL has grown steadily, fielding 34 Recreation, Challenge, and Classic teams for the 2009/2010 season..
In the fall of 2008, the NDSL, through an agreement with the Arcadia Boosters Club, kicked off the immensely successful inaugural season of the NDSL Recreational League.
The league provides a less competitive environment for players, from toddlers through U-14, enjoying competition with neighboring communities throughout Davidson and Forsyth Counties..
January of 2009 saw the NDSL receive approval, by vote of the NCYSA, for Level III Membership.
In the fall of 2009 the NDSL began to field teams and compete in the North Carolina Classic League, the highest level of competition the NCYSA has to offer.
Level III membership provides the youth of Davidson County local access to the highest level of club soccer in the State, and makes the NDSL a complete club, able to offer all competitive levels of youth soccer to our membership.
It is the mission of the NDSL to provide competitive levels of play to match the abilities and competitive temperament of all players..
Each NCUSA team has a coaching staff that is USSF/NCYSA licensed, certified, and dedicated to the development of the youth player.
Our players have been selected to represent North Carolina on NCYSA ODP teams, had very successful high school careers, and continued in soccer, as scholarship athletes on the collegiate level.
Our teams have had historical success on the pitch, winning many TCL championships and tournament crowns, both locally and out of state.

In early 2012, Davidson County United Soccer Association (DCUSA) and the North Davidson Soccer League (NDSL) announced they were merging to form a new organization — the North Carolina United Soccer Association (NCUSA).
The merger allowed the county to field more teams, especially at the higher-caliber Challenge and Classic levels..
The merging association gives opportunity for all soccer players in Davidson County to have more opportunities to have a better playing experience from kindergarten all the way to adult.
