A lot of people keep asking what was my motivation, what made me do it? What’s the story behind the name Nayanga? Well it's a very long story, full of bumps, twists, turns, and adventure, so strap on your belts and jump in for the ride.

One Sunday afternoon, whilst staring out the window of my very boring day job, and wishing I too had the opportunity of wearing six inch stiletto, high waist form fitting pencil skirt and a nice blouse to work instead of Safety boots, coveralls and a helmet I caught an idea in the wind.
Hmmmm that’s amazing, I could own a store which sells all these beautiful items to working girls who are so busy conquering their world, and even better make it online so they don’t have to move an inch to get the perfect killer dress which says “now tell me, who’s boss? I was so psyched that afternoon, jumping off my chair I grabbed a pen and started to build this idea, after all I clean up really nice and was great at picking stunner outfits for others.

Ok, what will I call it? How do I build a website? I am not a techy girl, I barely know how to use my IPhone properly, how would I learn all these things? All the thoughts on my mind as I got home at 1730hrs too excited, I forgot to eat and continued asking and answering my own questions till about 1am, Oh it’s Monday, I quickly turned out the light, jumped into bed and closed my eyes, but as you know, my brain kept building.

Next thing, I am talking to someone who knows someone who can build websites, he asked for a fee, I paid 60% after negotiating.
This took about Five months, what did I know, I wasn’t a tech guru, I thought he needed all the time in the world to get it done, turns out he didn’t know what he was doing and there I was back to square one, no website, no money..

Now even though I had this setback, my mind would not give it a rest, and at this time my overly excited mother (God rest her soul) had bought machines and set up a small sewing shop excited about sewing things which she too could sell on the site, and I just knew there was no going back on this one.
I went ahead to buy some stock, found some other guys to build me a website and after about two tries of every single aspect including building the site, photography, graphics, you name it, VIOLA! Here I was with the website I had always wanted, I couldn’t believe it, you could actually click buy and the entire process jumps into action.
I had done IT! wow! .
