Friluftshuset er et samarbejde mellem Natursyrelsen Hovedstaden, "Amager Skovhjælpere" og Tårnby Kommune.

Fra Friluftshuset kan man leje cykler, låne fiskenet, købe brænde og i det hele taget kan man bruge friluftshuset som udgangspunkt til oplevelser i naturen.
Friluftshuset har åbent på hverdage, i weekender og skolernes ferie.
