Vincent’s Medical Center, hundreds of pre-health professional students from colleges around the country have served as Research Associates (RAs).
In addition to a variety of studies across the range of emergency medicine research, these individual RA programs have facilitated primary care screening and prevention studies on window guards, domestic violence, firearms injury risk assessment, cardiovascular risk assessment, dental check-ups, screening for cervical, breast, prostate and colon-rectal cancers and tobacco cessation.
RAs have enrolled thousands of study participants without a single patient complaint.
