I instantly fell in love with the warmth, humour, generosity and of course the "craic" of the Irish.
So much so, that I stayed there for 2 years.
Dublin was my gateway to gallivant throughout Europe so I made the most of it.
I spent 5 weeks on a Contiki Tour of Europe, and from Dublin I was able to take advantage at the ease of getting to such countries as Turkey, Czech Republic and Spain..

When I returned to Australia, I decided I wanted to be a travel agent.
I wanted everyone to see and experience the things that I had.
I had developed an insatiable appetite for adventure and I wanted more! The world is so much bigger than our own backyard.
Whilst I have travelled, worked and studied around much of Australia, and there is no doubt we live in an amazing country, to be able engage with other cultures on a very personal level, and to be able to learn, understand and enjoy the things that are important to them and what makes them so unique, is something that you cannot learn from a book or from the internet or the television.

In the last 13 years that I have worked as a travel agent, I have been fortunate to have been able to swank it up 5 star in some of South Africa's magnificent Game Parks, and I have also roughed it on the back roads of Botswana in a tent.
I have flown quite comfortably in Economy Class, and also enjoyed the sophistication of Business Class travel.
I have been up close and personal with baby cheetah cubs in Botswana, walked with the lions in Zambia, experienced the excitement and anticipation of hoping to see the elusive Leopard in South Africa, and stood with a pounding heart as enormous giraffes and wild warthog walked right in front of me in Kenya and Tanzania.
