Detailed description is Founded in 2008, the North America Chang Hua Association has committed to improving our community and educating Taiwanese American about their heritage.
在前彰化縣長黃石城不斷鼓勵及催生下，埔心同鄉楊信會同多位鄉親於2008年7月在南加州托倫斯成立了北美彰化同鄉會。.

第一屆理事會由楊信、胡維剛、王梅鳳、楊川汝、吳東昇、李碧娥、王景聰、洪茂澤組成。.
近六年來，會員家庭人數持續增加，在大洛杉磯地區就已有二百多戶、四百多人的會員。.

同鄉會旨在聯絡鄉親感情、增進鄉親互助團結，進一步回饋社區及故鄉彰化和台灣；並帶動年輕的子弟尋根，讓他們懂得飲水思源、保留延續台灣的優良傳統。.

同鄉會2009年會以「送愛心囘台灣」為主題，楊總會長夫婦即以北美彰化同鄉會名義，開始定期認捐員林「螢光慈善會」，作急難助困基金。.

2010年會以「重陽敬老、四代同堂」為主題、並表揚傑出二代子弟。.

2011年會以「彰化之光」為主題，宣佈設立北美彰化同鄉會獎學金。.

2012年會以「關懷與回饋」為主題，頒發第一屆「楊信獎學金」，楊會長並卸下會長重擔，受理事會邀請擔任榮譽會長。.
胡維剛律師接任會長之職，並會同理事於年會中敬贈「愛心領航」感謝楊會長對同鄉會的付出與貢獻。.
而多位主流貴賓包括加州主計長江俊輝、美國國會衆議員羅伊斯、趙美心、加州參議員劉雲平等更特別出席年會，頒贈表揚楊信會長對社區的貢獻。.
2013年同鄉會以「彰化傳承、北美紮根」為主題，邀請彰化市長邱建富蒞臨年會演講，台灣彰化同鄉會總會長洪村山更特地率三十人的代表團來美出席年會。會中頒發第二屆楊信獎學金。.

2014年會主題為「幸福一世彰化人」，頒發同鄉會第三屆獎學金。世界台灣商會聯合會總會長楊信先生將和出席嘉賓分享一年來拜訪世界各地台商的互動心得，王梅鳳理事接任會長。.

北美彰化同鄉會每年在農曆年前後都舉辦新春聚餐活動：.
2015「新春歡樂喜洋羊」有正台灣味艋舺美食，小朋友彩繪燈籠活動、2014「幸福一世彰化人 、認親結緣樂天倫」博「狀元餅」同樂、小孩搓圓仔比賽。.
2013「鄉親新正歡喜過、想起阿嬤做e粿」呷粿搓圓仔比賽。.
2012「鹿港燈會響噹噹、鐵路便當情正夯」、2011「元宵團圓、彰化情」博「狀元餅」、2010「隨意潤餅捲」餐會、.
2009「認親結緣好過年」歲末「台灣小吃十全十美」聚餐。.

六年來同鄉會也積極參與、贊助台美社區的各種文化、慈善活動，包括每年的台美人傳統週及園遊會、救災活動、Team Taiwan、彰化賴和文教基金會「鬥鬧熱走唱隊」洛杉磯演出、美國鷹社徵文漫畫創作比賽、璀璨一百精彩共享演唱會、台灣之夜「衆聲讚台灣」。.

2012年底協辦員林鄉親江清泉醫師洛僑中心醫學講座 （台大醫院江清泉醫師榮獲美國康乃爾大學 "Hospital for Special Surgery Pier Giorgio Marchetti MD Award 終身成就獎"。11月8日特地來美領獎）。.
2013年贊助來自故鄉的員林新樂園布袋戯，在台灣會館演出。.
2014 年初衆議院外交委員會主席羅伊斯 Royce 訪台，特別南下造訪北美鄉親在台南的工廠，並由楊會長及胡會長作陪，拜會市長賴清德。
