Inspring you to make more MONEY in your biz! I have been a photographer since the age of 5.
As a child my parents had to ration my rolls of film to one per week (yes, actual film that you had to bring to the store to develop!) or I would have blown thru rolls of it every day! There was something so magical about taking that roll to Walgreens and waiting days for it to come back and see the beauty that I had created! I loved taking photos and knew at a very young age that that is what I wanted to do as an adult.
My passion carried me through high school and college where I worked on the school yearbook and newspaper.
My parents never really “got me” and actually still don’t.
They don’t understand what it is that I do and how I can actually make a living taking photos! I have never felt fully supported in what I do, and never want another photographer to go through their struggles alone like I had to.
I am here to help you on this magical journey!.

In 1996 I started my photography business, Custom Creations Photography.
Like many, I began as a wedding photographer working out of my home.
In 2003 I opened a storefront studio in downtown Shakopee, and also became active in organizations such as PPA, MNPPA, TCPPA, and WPPI.
My love for photography has never lessened over the years, however, I learned early on I had to charge adequately or I would literally have to live in my van down by the river (insert Chris Farley voice here)! Photography is my passion AND my business, and there is a definite line that has to be crossed in order to shed old beliefs and become successful.
I now have a gorgeous studio, an amazing staff, a supportive community of photographer friends, and plenty of FREE TIME to live the lifestyle I choose!!.

Through the years I have watched photographers struggle with their photographic identity.
Not sure what to charge, what they’re worth, if their clients will pay that much, what type of clients they actually want, how many clients they want, how busy they want to be, and what type of lifestyle they want to live.
Some of my nearest and dearest friends have struggled with bankruptcy and closing studios because they just couldn’t figure it all out and change their beliefs; and these were true photographic rockstars with serious talent!.

My goal for founding My Photo Biz Coach is to help inspire you to realize your full potential as a photographer.
We all make mistakes, but learning from our mistakes and understanding why they were mistakes is a huge step towards success.
Nothing pisses me off more than hearing photographers not believe in themselves and their work and are practically giving away their work for free because they don’t know their true value and worth..

I will be offering a free weekly radio show titled “Make More Money” as well as a blog to help cover topics and questions that I most frequently hear from other photographers.
In addition, I will be teaching my ROCK STAR 101 teleclass, which is a 30 day course geared towards helping you unleash your inner ROCK STAR.
