Detailed description is Crée en 1998, Le Musée des sapeurs-pompiers de la loire est reconnu par la Fédération Nationale des Sapeurs Pompiers Français Bienvenue au Musée .
Crée en 1998 le Musée des Sapeurs-Pompiers de la LOIRE est géré entièrement par des bénévoles.
Une association loi 1901, en assume la gestion.
Reconnu par la Ville de FIRMINY et la Service Départemental d' Incendie et Secours de la LOIRE, soutenu par l' Union Départementale des Sapeurs-Pompiers de la LOIRE, ces trois entités font partie intégrale de l' association..
D' une superficie de 4400 m², sur trois bâtiments, dont deux à usage de remise de matériel roulant.
Le troisième permet sur 1850 m² de présenter au public une exposition de plus de 49 engins.
De la pompe à bras en passant par la pompe hippomobile, la pompe à vapeur, les motopompes, et enfin les premiers engins moteur, le visiteur pourra découvrir deux siècles d' histoire des sapeurs-pompiers..
