Detailed description is Our church was founded on May 17th, 1992 by our Pastor, Dewayne Walker, on Waller Ave in Lexington, KY.
Our church was founded on May 17th, 1992 by our Pastor, Dewayne Walker, on Waller Ave in Lexington, KY.
We started with just 6 people and Pastor Walker had to work a full time job to support his wife and three children.
The church continued to grow and in 1995 were averaging about 45 in attendance on Sunday morning.
God led our pastor to a property for sale on Delaware Ave.
We didn't have enough history or credit for the banks to loan us the money to purchase the old train depot/Mentor building, so the man who owned it loaned it to us directly.
Both ends of the building were full of offices, so we cleared out a couple on the right side (looking at the front of the building), where one of our adult Sunday School classes now meets, and made our first auditorium here.
One of our members donated enough money to purchase a portable baptistry which we were very grateful for.
We soon outgrew that space in 1996, so we removed all of the offices at the other end of the building and made our second auditorium.

God continued to bless with souls saved and new members and in 1999 we decided to build a separate building behind the existing one to house our new auditorium.
It was separated from the current building by about 10 feet, and in 2000, amidst much excitement and joy at what God had done, we moved into our new auditorium.
God continued to bless and to add much needed office space and Sunday School class rooms we joined the two buildings together which also gave us a choir room.
As God continued to add to our numbers we removed the back wall in the auditorium and pushed it back 12 more feet giving us greater capacity.
God has given us many wonderful Christians to work with as we now have 24 Sunday School classes, well staffed nurseries for every service, 3 bus routes, a van route, a boys club, a girls club, a Patch the Pirate club, a Christian School, many soul-winning opportunities throughout the week, a thriving nursing home ministry (currently we are in 5 nursing homes), an addictions ministry (Reformers Unanimous of Lexington), a Spirit filled music ministry with an uplifting choir and many smaller singing groups.
