Detailed description is Outdoor activities and wilderness skills for students developed over 10 years by Denny Preisser, Bobby Denny, and Chris Hampton.
MVHS OCC is a student organization dedicated to getting kids physically active & challenged, mentally sharp & alive, free of drugs & alcohol, away from headphones & video games, closer to nature & real experiences, learning & using wilderness skills, evaluating & taking safe risks, and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Denny Preisser, Bobby Denny and later Chris Hampton also wanted students to gain valuable skills that they could use throughout their lives if not turn into careers on the Rez that directly related to what they loved.
The club no longer active - but you can contact Denny Preisser at dpreisser@yahoo.com if you want any info about the instructor training we did, our policies and procedures, grant writing, tying in standards and our "trip packets", or building support form the admin and community.
